I am currently reading Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill and find this information so facinating- that this knowledge was written about so long ago.
The very philosophy of the book is that your mind and more so, your subconscious mind, can create riches.
This goes beyond monetary values, but riches as in whatever your dreams are.
In the chapter called “Desire” it describes how dreams have shaped this world.
Thomas Edison dreamt of a lamp that could be operated by electricity and he failed 10,000 times until he discovered electricity.
The Wright brothers dreamt of a machine that could fly in the air. And thus a Plane was created.
And the most interesting to me, was the story of the man who dreamed of creating an intangible system that could harness the forces of the ether. And it was done- the radio and television represent his crazy dream.
But Marconi, the crazy dreamer was actually committed by his friends to a mental institution when he told them he had discovered how to send messages through the air.
If these dreamers hadn’t followed their dreams, our world would not be what we know of it.
I find it empowering and so encouraging that we truly define and create our reality and that nothing is unattainable if you have the strength to follow your dreams- despite any obstacle.
